I am a female Capricorn and there's this Pisces guy from my school. We met not too long ago, and we always say hi to each other in the hallway, he added me on facebook, and we small talk on text messages, also my friend is trying to hook us up. Do you think we'd last?

On the surface, it might seem the differences are too great...and indeed most outsiders will try to discourage this couple. But at an intuitive level, this couple merge at a soul level.

Usually, the most successful coupling is when the Pisces is female & the Capricorn is male but I also know that Pisces male/Capricorn female can work. The Cap female just needs to loosen up a little & not be so cold. It also helps if she initiates because Pisces are generally shy. Pisces guys can help the Capricorn woman discover her dreams.

I say go for it. Even if it doesn't work out, I gurantee it will be an experience you will not forget :)

I've seen MANY Pisces women/Capricorn men couplings and they always seem to be lost in each other & so cozy together in some sort of warm cocoon that outsiders cannot penetrate.

I don't see why it shouldn't work for Cap female/Pisces male too.

In theory, yes...In reality, no.

Astrology "claims" that Pisces and Capricorn are are compatible, but that is simply because their elements which are earth(Capricorn) and water(Pisces) are compatible. But as far as personal traits, Capricorn and Pisces are not to compatible.

You have Capricorn who is renowned for being a solid, determined and persevering sign that strives for success. They are know for their sternness and durability to accomplish things and build a solid life foundation.

Then you have Pisces, a dreamy, wishy-washy, imaginative fish who lives more in an up and down and elusive fantasy land rather than reality. Pisces are not known for being reliable or preserving. They are known for begin loving and kind, but with Capricorn, love and kindness isn't nearly as important as the task at hand and that is where they are very different. I think most Capricorns will see Pisces as simply too emotional, dependent and non efficient. In return, Pisces will view Pisces as a cold, mean dictator hell bent on money and success. Pisces will also get tied of Capricorns unwillingness to diving unto unrealistic fantasies as Pisces loves to do.

Pisces + Capricorn When you're involved with a Capricorn, you're involved with a father figure, an executive and a task master. When you get involved with a Pisces, you get involved with a rescuer, a victim, a mystic and an idealist. If you can give a Capricorn respect, status, power, and authority then you have a better chance of getting their love and affection. If you can give a Pisces help, health, fantasy and art, you have a better chance of getting their love and affection. Essentially, Capricorn is cautious, steadfast and reserved. Even as a child, Capricorn's personality was probably mature for the years. With any luck Capricorn's life will get better and responsibilities will become more enjoyable over time. Capricorn can only fail by giving up. Never, never, never, never, never give up. Capricorn, you were made for management and leadership. Capricorn's ambitions are only limited by your self-esteem. Planning and work will pay off. Be sure to ask for a fair price for your efforts. There are at least two sides to Pisces' personality. One is more kind, loving, tolerant and long-suffering than most people. The other can be biting. Pisces, you don't want to hurt people, unless you are feeling righteous and need to punish the guilty. It's fair to say that Pisces is imaginative, a dreamer, and even mystical. Pisces certainly seems to absorb and drink in surroundings more than most people. Pisces has mood swings and can benefit from live music and dance. Pisces can break the chains of fate and destiny. More than most people, Pisces is a product of beliefs as much as disbeliefs. As Henry Ford said Pisces, "Whether you think you can or you can't, you are right."

Capricorn is too controlling and narrow minded for Pisces. Pisces nature is too sensitive and moody to handle a Capricorn.
