I went on a couple of websites, and they all calculate my ascendant as cancer, I've read the description and it's really NOT me. They say I'm emotional, which I'm really not, and conservative, withdrawed, again things I'm not.
Is it possible the calculators are wrong? Is there another way to calculate my risign sign?

For an exact calculation, you need your birth date, year, time and place. Are you absolutely sure about the time? Are you putting in A.M. or P.M.? Many people "think" they know about the time they are born, but in astrology, every four minutes equals one degree of sign (and one year of life), and if you are close to another sign on your Ascendant, you can easily be off.

Also, hospitals are SUPPOSED to correctly assess time, but their clocks may be off. In my own instance, I was born at 8:13 p.m., and the nurse rounded it off to 8:15. Such rounding would cost me six months of incorrect forecasting!

But, however, you could be Cancer, just have a great many placements in earth signs which tone down the emotionalism. There is more to your personality than the Ascendant-- your personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars) are also important.

Good luck!

I read somewhere that the 45% of people had the same rising sign as their sun sign. 45% had other sign for their ascendant, and the other 10% of the people adopted another sign for their ascendant. These people's personalities were shaped by their environment.

It could be that you are one of those people in the 10% category, or that you Identify more with your sun sign. These is more common in males than in females, as some women identify themselves with their moon sign.

My brother is an Aries who has an Aquarian moon, and his ascendant in cancer. When I told him that his personality sign was a soft, sentive, emotional, and tender cancer. He said the reading was way off, and told me not to beliefe these astrology nonesense. His hard headed, Ariean-self didn't want me to explain to him what all that meant, and his aquarian moon makes him too detached and logical to care.

However, you have to keep in mine that the ascendant only shows how you appear to others. It does not say who you are. The ascendant gives you the physical characteristics of that sign, and it shows how you deal with life challenges, and how you behave when you are with strangers. The esoteric meaning of the ascendant describes how you are going act in order to achieve the mission of your sun, because at the end of your life's journey, the sun (sign) is what you will become.

If you don't know the time of your birth, just put 6:00 A.M. as your birth time. This time is excellent for finding your ascendant when you don't know your exact birth time.

Yes, the calculators may be wrong. Best to try a real astrologer, one you feel seems authentic.

the basc infn is date of birth time of birth & place of birth.

it shd be remembered the date to be correct when it crosses Zero hour i.e. after 12 mid night,

so it is partinent to give bie date e.g. 2/3

i.e mid night --a.m.

similarly place plays seldom role in deciding asc. suppose birth in malesia , if shone as u.k or india sun rise differ results in change of asc,. too.

so in giving basic data a little care to be taken. .

it if possiable give any imp details to check.

either on line

or

by contact

as is considered.

Check your birth chart. Your Sun sign (aries in this case) isn't all you are.
