I just noticed that I have Moon inconjunct Jupiter. I have no idea what this means. But since it had to do with my Moon I am guessing it is important?

I feel that the inconjunct is the most important of the minor aspects. I didn't use to understand this aspect like so many others, I just ignored it. Through the years though I have found that it can explain things that the major aspects don't explain. However, if it is within a one degree orb, which is one tight orb for sure, I do think that it is relevant to ones chart. The Moon is our Emotions and Jupiter is our faith, wisdom, and optimism in life. The inconjunct is when the two planets have no compatibility in element or mode. That is why there is often a frustration or an irritation when the inconjunct is present. Now our Moon is highly important in our chart and this aspect might find you having some difficulty meshing your emotions with your optimism. Maybe you might at times feel emotionally optimistic when the result is actually rather low on your expectation scale. Maybe you have trouble at times figuring out why you are feeling optimistic when there doesn't seem to be a need for optimism.

Since there isn't anything compatible regarding your Moon and Jupiter I imagine this effects your emotional expectations more than anything else. They just don't "work together" and therefore when you expect great things, they just don't pan out. Or the opposite could also be true. That you have low expectations and then something wonderful happens! I guess the bottom line is that it is probably difficult for you to gauge the effect you are going to have emotionally on events. It's tough to have high expectations and then be disappointed. But again it is wonderful to have no expectations and receive a wonderful emotional boost in life. This is how I believe this aspect will manifest. You would see this mostly through your emotional expectations.

So my advice would be this. Don't raise the bar on your expectations, particularly emotionally. You might have already noticed this happening in your life already. You expect alot, you get little. You expect little, you get alot. This is the best way I can describe this aspect. And you are fortunate that it is Jupiter we are dealing with because Jupiter generally governs good things in our life. Opportunities. Luck. Faith.

So with more clarity I imagine that sometimes you find yourself irritated or frustrated when others don't share your emotional cues. Or you may get too emotional where others don't understand why you are so emotional. This is one reason why there are always disagreements in astrology. What one believes another doesn't agree. And vice-versa of course.

So don't look to others for your emotional fulfillment as only you know how you really feel. It must be frustrating to feel emotional over something and others don't share your joy. This is how I feel this inconjunct (or quincunx is used also) will manifest most in your life.

Good luck and bless you and don't let anybody rain on your parade! Jupiter raises the bar on your emotional happiness so enjoy those happy times. Even when others don't understand. Hope this is helpful to you and I wish you well.

Inconjunct is a word that describes an aspect of 150 degrees. It is more often called a quincunx. There is no universal agreement or acceptance of this as an aspect. In traditional astrology planets in signs that were inconjunct were referred to as "in aversion." One planet could not help (or harm) the other. The couldn't work together at all. If a planet ruled that sign, it was of no help to the sign. Let's say Taurus is on the 2nd cusp and Venus is in Sagittarius. Venus would play little or no role in the wealth of the native. A few traditional astrologers adopted it out of respect for Kepler who was the first to examine it and a few other non-traditional aspects.

In modern astrology the aspect denotes frustration and stress as though the native is trying to integrate the two planets but can't really do it. Its "popularity" goes in and out of favor and is considered by many to be a minor aspect.

Although I am sure there will be disagreement, I don't think it is very important and never use it in my work.

Inconjunct means they are 150 degrees from each other, the equivalent of 5 signs apart. This is mainly a minor aspect, while some view it as major. I don't tend to count this aspect, myself. In simple terms, it means the planets are oblivious to each other. In this case, your emotional side (Moon) is unable to see or connect with your wise and spiritual side (Jupiter). Sounds like some reflection on this problem could help correct it.

I have Mercury and Venus inconjunct Saturn, meaning my intellectual and relationship seeking sides can't exactly see or connect with my self-restraint and disciplinary side. Although I'm in the process of sorting it all out by reflection. So far so good, really.
