Aquarius The Water Bearer

Humanitarian and Revolutionary

Aquarius folks are humanitarian, philanthropic and keenly interested in making the world a better place. Along those lines, they'd like to make the world work better, which is why they focus much of their energy on our social institutions and how they work (or don't work). Aquarians are visionaries, progressive souls who love to spend time thinking about how things can be better. They are also quick to engage others in this process, which is why they have so many friends and acquaintances. Making the world a better place is a collaborative effort for Aquarians.

Aquarius Deep Inside:

Aquarius are in search of wisdom, they are very observant and they can gather their information objectively because emotions do not get in the way, they seem to be above emotions altogether and when they speak, they speak the truth. Sometimes it may be shocking or painful because of their disregard for the feelings of others, but they intend no harm, they call it like they see it and do not emotions cloud their judgment, they are very detached from emotion. It is not that Aquarius are unemotional, they just to not trust their emotions so they incorporate them into their ideas of who they are. As a result, if someone does not agree with their ideas, Aquarius sometimes takes it personally, not as much as other zodiac signs however as Aquarius is intellect driven and not emotionally driven. Sometimes they wonder if there is something in life that they are missing because they do not feel like other people feel. This does not necessarily prevent them from being involved in intimate relationships, they are capable of this but the person on the other end will always notice an air of detachment from Aquarius. Aquarius wonders 'why?' so much that they can question their existence. They wonder if what they are doing is useful, they want other people to notice them and appreciate them, this is caused by underlying insecurities that wonder if other people accept them for who they are but these are never brought to the surface because to an Aquarius, it does not matter that much because they know that they are special.

Watch the TDs fly. Aquarius is a fixed air sign. Philosophers have to be open to other ideas. If there is one thing Aquarius is not open to, it's other people's ideas. It's fixed. The old Soviet Union, communist China and damn near every absolute dictatorship on earth is considered Aquarian by the swoon set, i.e. those people who swoon every time some butcher rises to power and calls himself a reformer.

Aquarius is considered a human sign and social, but not social like Gemini, likes to be around people, or Libra, likes to dominate individuals. It is social in the sense of society, groups if you will. It wants to set the rules for them. Most importantly is the lack of the letter "e." Aquarius is human not humane. It likes ideas as long as they are his. There is his way and the highway.

Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Saturn doesn't budge. Assigning Uranus to Aquarius was an act of desperation. Astrologers who cannot leave well enough alone thought they had to do something with Uranus and in an effort to make it fit with Aquarius, they changed Aquarius. For those who don't believe me, please see any astrology text written before the discovery of Uranus (1781). You will see no references to anything that resembles the reputation of Aquarius today. You will see words like "airy," "human," "fixed," domicile of Saturn, governs the ankles, and not much more. You'll never see revolutionary, philosophical etc because it is a fixed sign.
