Love is not what makes a relationship work. All love does is make us want it to work.
Relationships work when both parties have sufficient emotional security and accountability, empathy, and relationship skills.
I cannot comment on the sign-placement of you two. The information provided is just far too incomplete, and that's not how astrologers determine compatibility.
If you want to do the work yourself, here's how you do it:
1. Go to this first site, putting in for both of your: full birth date, hour-minute of birth, city/location of birth. Hit the "get aspects" key, and write down the aspects that you are provided with
(Aspects are certain distances between any two points around the circle of the zodiac. When any of your 10 planets are in aspect with any of his, then that part of you interacts with that part of him. Either positively, or negatively, depending on what type of aspect/distance occurs).

2. Then, list of aspects in your hand, go to this second site and follow their instructions for giving points for the various aspects. This gives a quite valid evaluation of how compatible/incompatible the two of you are.
Do remember that no couple is ever totally compatible, even in the best of lasting relationships:

Astrology aside, I would like to point out that the dating period is always the "easy" period. In relationships that are highly suitable, there are usually NO problems until they have been living together 2 or more years. So, depending on your own time/situation with this guy, it's quite possible that you two are not suited for each other. Regardless of what the astrology says.
And remember that astrology is only an influence. Not a controlling influence.
As for 2013 astrological influences (also not controlling influences), these are done by looking for aspects between current planetary positions, and the positions of the planets at your birth. In other words, we work off of the timed birth chart, not a short list of what signs 3 of the planets are in.
We also use Secondary Progressions and Solar Arc Directions, some astrologers use the Solar Return as well. All of these require the timed birth chart, and it's a bit of work, so astrologers charge for it. Perhaps the cheapest way to have astrological work done is to learn it yourself.
However, these influences tend to be more internal (how YOU feel about things) than external (related to actual events) .. so they work best as guides for self-growth, and do not do a very good job of giving us hope about external situations.
The American Federation of Astrologers has a distance-learning program, if you want to learn how to do your own astrology for youself.
