Question:
Seasoned Astrologers: What are the top 3 books that you recommend for learning more on the subject?

Mostly I want to add some classic books to my collection. I don't have many right now; maybe 10. I want some books that can help me better understand the Houses and planet aspects better. Also, some books regarding Synastry.

What are your recommendations?

(Keep in mind I am still a beginner!)

The first *set* of books I'd recommend would be _The Only Way to Learn About Astrology_ by Marion March and Joan McEvers. I seem to recall there are 6 volumes, so you can buy them as you can afford them, each about $20. It's a priceless set.

I'd also invest in _Planets in Transit_ by Rob Hand and _Planets in Aspect_ and _Planets in Houses_, both by Robert Pelletier.

Look into books by Bil Tierney as well. He's an absolute delight to read and marvelous as a guide.

Oh, on synastry, check out _The Astrology of Human Relationships_ by Frances Sakoian and Louis Acker. It's a treasure and a great start in this area.

The most important thing I would urge you to do beyond this is to *learn* from these books rather than using them as cookbooks. You learn nothing if your face is glued to the words rather than allowing the impressions to happen.

Hope that helps.

The one that I use and really enjoy is called "The Only Astrology Book you'll Ever Need" and it's by Joanna Martine Woolfolk. It's an excellent book..lots of good information. You can find it at Borders and probably most other bookstores as well :)
