Why is astrology so accurate?

I don't know but like now I'm obsessed with it! I think it's because it's so true. Like I got an app thing on my iPhone and it tells my compatibility with the other signs and my daily horoscope and sometimes it's way off but mostly it's true. It's so weird and creepy but really cool. I'm an Aquarius and everything it says is true I'm crazy and original! Now like I'm asking everybody's birthdays and checking our compatibility and its soo interesting. I guess what I'm asking here is why am I so obsessed and why is it so freakishly accurate? And should I stop because I read somewhere that astrology might be from the devil so??

Astrology is not a science. It never passes testing and it's a form of discrimination. No one chooses their birthday and the stereotyping is false.

Chinese astrology can be just as accurate as western but, you can't follow it half assed. Like how reading newspaper horoscopes don't really mean anything. Chinese astrology has an animal for your hour, day, month, and year of birth. These animals all combine differently and in different orders to create a personality. (ie, a rat day, tiger month, sheep hour, snake year will be completely different from a tiger day, sheep year, snake month, and rat hour) The animal signs also have associated houses- six large divisions called "mansions" and each mansion has two halves. Each eastern sign actually encompass the space between opposing western signs. (Like Tiger is the progression from Aquarius to Leo, while the Monkey is the progression from Leo to Aquarius). You also read and determine things differently in a chart depending on the sex of the person and the gender (yin or yang) of the year born in. For example, women in yang years and men in yin years have to progress signs through the charts backwards and such. I too used to get pissed off at Eastern Astrology, until a good friend of mine sat me down and actually taught me how it works. It works well hand in hand with Western astrology too!

You are talking about the Chinese animal signs go by one's birth year. That alone doesn't represent Chinese astrology. It's way too shallow, and is inaccurate. That's considered as part of the folk culture. Not Chinese astrology. The two approaches "Ba Zi" (Four Pillars), and "Zi Wei Dou Shu" (Purple Emperor) are the real things in Chinese astrology. Each has 2,000 years of history. They both require your full birth info, including year, month, day, time, and gender. Due to the culture gap, most people in the West know only as far as the animal signs. This in reality is ignorance.

who said astrology is not science, it is an absolute science which formulas are not known to modern scientists. it is a science which calculates the gravitational forces of the nine planets acting up on a person. depending up on once time of birth and place, it calculates the earth's position relative to the other planets. so by a complex calculation astrology determines person's character in different time periods from birth to death.



let me give an simple example- we all know the tides in the sea raise up and low down by the gravitational force of the moon. in the same way astrology goes more advance and in minute detail and calculates the gravitational forces acting up on our body (our body consists of 70% liquid).



so if a person need an correct prediction of their character or life (our character decides our attitude and our attitude decides our life), they need to meet an mathematician or scientist who can calculate gravitational forces accurately. to our bad luck that ancient science is available to only few.

All I have to tell you is look into Astrology more...there is much more than "signs" (which is incorrectly used as a reference to the sign occupying your Sun at your time of birth). There is also planets, houses, aspects in your Natal Chart (your birth chart) and Synastry (the comparing of two people Natal Charts) but again you may have no Idea of what I am talking about...



Learn more about Astrology before you take it to seriously because it may cause misunderstandings, that is the main reason why people call it bull****...



The Apps you are using is just for entertainment, which has nothing to do with "proper" Astrology.

No. Astrology is not from the devil. At all. Astrology is technically a pseudoscience.



So when you are referring to your "zodiac sign" your technically talking about your SUN sign. The sun sign is often referred to as your "soul" or your personality when you are most comfortable/with friends and family. You have a sun ,moon,ascendant/rising,mercury,venus, mars and many more planets and aspects that describe your personality.



The "horoscopes" that you can read in newspapers/apps you can only take with a grain of salt because that's only based off your SUN sign. Sun sign astrology is nothing compared to real astrology. This is why some people don't relate to their sun sign, because maybe they have bigger influences from another sign/planet in their chart.

Uhmm first of all i have NEVER heard that astrology is from the devil. Second of all astrology is NOT accurate they just write stuff that they think it may make sense...... Third of all you're the only one that knows why your so interested but it sounds like your interested because it's just WEIRD. i guess. Btw i really don't believe that kind of stuff lol. you're obsessed with it because it hooks you in. it's accurate because they do multiple tests on people of the same sign to get an average result.



some astrology , though, is completely made up. your compatibility with another person has nothing to do with your birthday. it depends on the person themselves.

all the horoscopes i've seen have been so vague that they could apply to anyone.
