How do I find my ruling planet on my birth chart?

The "ruling planet" is the planet that rules the sign on your Ascendant. Since your Ascendant is Pisces, both Jupiter and Neptune are ruling planets.

But that doesn't mean they are the strongest planets in your chart.



The strongest planets i your chart are:

Saturn, become it is angular (within 8 degrees of the Ascendant, which is one of the angles)

Mars and Uranus because they both have more aspects to other planets, than the rest of the planets do ... Venus comes in second as most-aspected.



But don't look at any of these planets to the exclusion of the rest of your chart. If you took out all but one or two colors from a kaleidoscope, you wouldn't have much of an image, would you? You need to consider everything and integrate it all into a whole.

Dominant planets are those which form an aspect to either the Ascendant, Medium Coeli or both. The conjunction is regarded as being the most significant, followed by the opposition, square, trine and sextile. According to this scheme the planet which forms the most important aspects is considered to be the most dominant planet. The characteristics of dominant planets are prominent in the horoscope and have a powerful influence on the individual concerned.



Some astrologers also consider that the following features indicate that a planet is dominant: planets that are in the first half of a cardinal house, i.e. the first, fourth, seventh and tenth house; elevated planets i.e. those found closest to the Medium Coeli; and finally any planet which is conjunct a house cusp.

to find the ruling planet u have to know your ascendnt, say if ur ascendant is aries then ur ruling planet would be mars or if ur asc is virgo then ur ruling planet would be mercury.After uve found the ruling planet look and see where it is placed in the birth chart too se what type of influence it is bringing into ur life.
