How long until an Aquarius commits?

I was wondering from all of the people out there who have ever been with an Aquarius (or any of you Aquarius), how long has it taken for them to commit?

Additional Info (kinda long):
Because I've been dating this guy for about 5 months now and he says that a bf-gf relationship would almost be like a marriage deal to him and he doesnt ever want to get into one now. Plus he's scared of being trapped, but I've never given him a reason to be. He even said I make him feel emotionally safe.

But he did have two gf's before me. And that just makes me think that he must have liked them so much more than me if he was willing to commit to them. He just says that those two girls terrified him from ever being in a relationship because they were always so possessive and jealous. And yesterday he said that he was disappointed because I reminded of his ex-gf's because I was acting jealous.... but I was only joking! I hate that he expects me to not make any mistakes when he can act like a jerk or whatever and expects me to accept him for who he is.

So I would like anyones perspective on this... what does it take, and how long??

I had a problem with an Aquarius. He acted like he was in love with me but we weren't even going out. We held hands and flirted, but never went out. I feel for you on this one. He might just not like you and is trying to "let you down easy" and the other stuff was fake. Thats what happened to me. Good luck!

I'm an Aquarius. I understand where he is coming from. I've had few boyfriends. They were long relationships. Everytime I ended the relationship is because I felt like I was losing my individuality. I think there is a need to be independant. We have a free love perspective.

A close friend of mine is also an Aquarius. She has been ready for marriage since freshman year of high school.

It really depends on the individual Aquarius and how much they like you. If they are playing games ... doesn't matter what their Sun sign is ... don't hold your breath. Look elsewhere if you want commitment. There is nothing you can do to make someone else what to commit to be with you. You can't fake who you are, and if being yourself doesn't do it ... the relationship will not work out. In a general sense, however, most girls are ready to get engaged after 6 months of dating, most guys are ready after 12 months. However, some guys know the minute they meet "the one".

Okay, Im an Aquarius woman, and this how I'd like someone to handle things if I were in his case...

If he's not speaking to you, just call him like once a day, and just say hi, don't start a whole conversation, just say you were calling to say hi. If he starts a conversation from a hi, then go on and let the conversation go has HE pleases.

Continue not acting like your jealous, or that you're possessive. Finally, when you KNOW he'll start have a pleasant conversation with him, letting him know your prospective on this, and his prospective on this. Once you know what you did wrong, promise not to do it again, and vise versa. Stick to your promises!

It's not like a certain time we commit, it's not like we go, "after 6 months it's official" The time has nothing to do with it, the attraction does. He's probabaly making his mind, renewing his individualality, and deciding what he wants. Give him a break!

Good Luck!

K well im an aquarius dating an aquarius.. and although what you described is "typical" of our sign.. we're not all like that!

My boyfriend wanted to commit right away.. as did I. I love being in relationships.

He's problably just young and doesn't want someone to answer to. I would give him as much space as he needs. Dont call or text him alot. If this isn't something that you want.. then maybe he's not the one for you.

Honestly...playing hard to get always works. Act like your too busy for him.. I bet he will come running for you.

Remember..everyone wants what they can't have.

All Aquarius' r not like that. I'm a Libra dating an Aquarius and she just wanted to take it slow because she didn't want to be hurt. I know that i will give her the space that she needs also because Air signs dont like to be crowded we love our freedom even if we are committed. If the Aquarius really likes you then he wont compare you to the exs. to me its pretty obvious that he is lookin for a reason not to be with you. it didnt take long for me to get with the girl im dating.... tell him to be more up front and to let you know what he wants. put it all out there.

I've heard its rare for an aquarius to get into a long term relationship... they like short terms.

But maybe he just is scared to get hurt again if he gets serious about your relationship..

he needs time!

The aquarius I know are all unpredictable.

and they HATE jealousy.

Just leave him space and time and I think everything should be fine

If you want a boyfriend so bad, then I highly recommend following this https://bitly.im/aOnUw Since you've never dated or been kissed before, it's going to be hard to get a boyfriend if you don't know what to do but once you know what to do, you'll be able to get a boyfriend pretty easily and can share your dating stories with your friends and experience those feelings yourself. You'll even be able to attract guys you might feel is out of your league. I suggest going on a bunch of dates before choosing one guy to be your boyfriend. Have fun.

well if he says he doesnt want to commit then you need to listen to him and take what he says seriously. he isnt ready for a relationship is what he is really saying and he doesnt want to be in one. But in all honesty,i think that answer is just a cop out for I'm not all that into you enough to want to be committed.
