Venus Opposition/Conjuncts North Node in Synastry Experience?

Hi everybody,

I'm so glad I found this site! Anyway, I hope you're all doing well. I'm starting to learn astrology through research (I've got lots of planets in the third house, including Saturn *gulp*) and I want to ask anyone's experience what it's like when someone's Venus conjuncts/oppose somebody else's N.N.

I just want to confirm based on my experience that the description posted about Venus opposition North Node or Venus conjuncts South Node in synastry was indeed spot on in how it's a star-crossed lovers aspect. The draw had been initially very powerful that we end up living together even though it's not my style and I usually take things slow in relationships. That girl is now my ex. I was the Venus and felt that I've really done everything I could to save it...to no avail.

Anyway, the thing is, I've recently met someone new. I met her in a short trip two months ago (My Venus is also in the third house) and I was again drawn to her. It was the time I became interested in astrology shortly thereafter and found out about this past karma and stuff. Anyway, I checked this new girl's and I's synastry and her Venus conjuncts my North Node this time. What do you think? Is there chance we could get together in this lifetime or do I have to wait in another lifetime? What's your experience on this? Please share... I want to know! :)

As far as I can tell there are many astrologers that believe things that can only be explained if you believe in a past life. Even the Magi Society holds this belief for the most part. It's one of the only things that they believe that I disagree with. There is proof that the astrology that they use is consistent and repeatable. But there can not and never will be any proof whatsoever that we have past lives. Sorry astrologers, I'm on the skeptics' side on this one.

Any personal planet conjunct the N.Node is supposed to be very good and so if your N.Node conjuncts her Venus then her love life/romance etc should be propelled into all sorts of new ways but a planet conjunct the S.Node is sort of tired and worn out because it's pulled back into ways that have to be let go; the relationship goes nowhere, just stagnates.

But as Lala says, don't rely on astrology for this because there's so much more to it than just one "chosen" thing, astrology-wise. One of the pro astrologers on here says that if a personal planet conjuncts the Ascendant, that is a sign of a possible long and lasting relationship.

My venus do not conjuct my husband north node ; neither none of his planet and we have been married for 48 yrs

Yes astrology is very interesting and it help us to understand ourselves and other people

but we should never just go by astrology to choose a friend and much less a life partner
