Question:
Do you find jupiter transits very often involve meeting new people?

When I look at different people's transits, including my own, I notice that during positive jupiter transits, new people present themselves - friends, lovers, whoever. I know jupiter can bring expansion, it just seems that often at least one new person is greatly involved in this expansion for whatever purpose.

Have you found this too? Why do you think this is, specifically?

Also, do harsh jupiter transits encourage new people to enter a person's life, though in a more frustrating/difficult way?

Thanks!

Hi sparrow bird,

I have actually been going through Jupiter return for the second time ( the first time was when I was 12, well I couldnt really remember anything special happened then , although my study started to be so much better at the age of 12 on wards , probably because during the transit , it made aspect to uranus in the 3rd )

Anyway, I am not particularly sure about meeting new people, like Solar said , it depends on which house Jupiter resides in an individual chart , one might attract many friends when Jupiter crosses over their 11th and to the lesser extent the 7th house , or when jupiter makes a connection to a planet that is in the 11th house. My jupiter is in the 5th which is supposedly a very good position for the jovial planet to be in. And I have always been able to express myself without much problems. However , as my Jupiter is in retrograde motion , much of the joys I have were acquired my own ability to make them happen, rather than having the joys brought to me by external factors. Also , I have not seen the promises that Jupiter returns seems to bring, except that it does seem to make me mentally restless ( sextile Uranus and opposition Mercury ) . In fact, Jupiter has not done anything to me this year , it has on the contrary left me a huge pile of irresponsible horse cr@ps to deal with. I am hoping when Jupiter goes retro-grade , I could see some promises and benefits come true.

Harsh Jupiter usually brings a lot of faith and optimissm into one's life , also much recklessness , too much carefree , a tendency to overlook finer details.

I wouldnt rely on Jupiter too much though, it seems to always promise more they It can actually give. For that , a transit saturn has been more my favourite. At least with hard work, I know transit saturn will always give me a rewards afterwards.

I think it depends on what house it is transiting. Generally, the 7th house indicates the nature of meeting new people, so I would think that a transiting Jupiter in the 7th would support meeting lots of new people. If and how those people become involved in one's life would depend on the aspects and to which houses the connecting planets are located.

Yes, I think that harsh Jupiter transits would make the nature of these relationships more challenging, but when Jupiter is involved, harsh aspects are not really such a bad thing, even helpful sometimes.

Yes, in a sense....

Jupiter is retrograde in my chart and rules my 11th house. It seems like every time it moves on top of a major point in my chart, I feel more inclined to look further, to know people deeper than I already do.

Harsh aspects challenge my perspective...They're usually related to things I "have to" do, but I'm not really willing to (and especially in the case of social conventions, there are LOTS of them). Once I convince myself to do them, though, and the effect of the aspect wears off, I'm certainly able to see why and how I was benefited from the action.

I guess their effect depends on Jupiter's placement/role in our natal chart.
