I went to my highschool teacher and told him that it is a science and he said there is no proof of this. How can I prove he is wrong?

he's right.

Its not a hard science.

At best it could be considered an applied science.

Astrology is not a science in the sense of a normal science. It's a belief, just like religion is.

While astrology may bear a superficial resemblance to science, it is a pseudoscience because it makes little attempt to develop solutions to its problems, shows no concern for the evaluation of competing theories, and is selective in considering confirmations and dis-confirmations

I did research this and Astrology has been taught on university campuses as a life-management strategy, or a therapeutic tool.

You may want to download as much as you can on Basil Fearrington - Astrologer/Student of Tae Kwon Do/computer programmer/Musician/Author/Humanitarian.

He was the Astrologer Michael Jackson had consulted with and there is much written on his contributions to many of the celebrities as well as the astrological conferences in the U.S. and in South Africa.

It might help to share some of this ancient wisdom with your teacher. Good Luck!

No. Astrology is not a science. It does not use the scientific method.

Precession. It is a fact that we turn one degree every seventy two years around the axis of the Astrological signs. Also there is the fact that we can measure that.

Also that Astrology is based on unproven claims. Also that no one is open to showing any real evidence to validate that a birth chart determines human personality and behavior. When you claim something works, or is true, or accurate, you must provide substantial evidence. This is something Astrology resists on doing.
