Any aspect to the South Node from any planet is unfortunate for matters to do with the house and planet activated thereby.
The position of the Dragon's Tail is generally indicative of past life connections or commitments in a relationship analysis. Relationships that seem somehow fated or inevitable usually have a strong South Node connection. Aspects thereto are also most interesting (especially if a pre-natal eclipse falls there), whether natally or in conjunction with a progression or major transit

i dont understand it seems to on one hand..say something positive about south node. than it says the opposite..lol

can you help and clarify it or correct this?

why is the south node in aspect so bad or so "karmic"..is it good or bad? please explain

for example..south node conjunction DC in chart. good or bad? or how ?

The Nodes are a lot like the Moon ,one is a dark side ,the other is open to a light of understanding and receiving. It is the past and the future .

The South indicate behaviors that are instinctive within us that we should let go of ,patterns and habits that are burdens that hold us back.

The North is gain ,intake and growth like Jupiter in Cancer, very similar in meaning, depending on the House and aspects ,study the meaning for this is a safe place for the spirit to soar...and reach a new level.

Summed up, the South Node often has to do with past lives and the Karma generated in those lives.

I'm not sure exactly why it says that aspects to the South Node are unfortunate... but I think it's perhaps because Karma can be difficult to deal with, and if that Karma is tied to the energies of other planets in a chart then the expression of the planets involved may be difficult and confusing.

I don't think that's necessarily always a negative thing, though certainly it would be somewhat hard to deal with as powers would be acting on you from other lives that you are not aware of and have difficulty controlling (even if the aspects to the South Node were positive).

If the South Node conjuncts the DC in a natal chart, I would say that the person in question would encounter a lot of partners in their life that are from past lives. Many of their relationships will be fated, and there may be unresolved Karma with those partners that needs to be sorted out in this life.
