Question:
House II (and its ruler and anything else you want to add) and what are your values?
2008-11-11 17:37:00 UTC
Out of curiousity... seems like I'm always drawn to that third house of mine and always forget there's more houses. Some attention for the second house this time... as the question says: house 2 (+ruler+anything else) and your values?

Mine is in Capricorn. I have very traditional values, despite myself. I still think it's the woman's job to do the chores and raise the children, that a man should ask a woman to marry her and not vice versa, and I put any woman's movement backwards with about a century. Woe me... :p

That's in short what my values are. Very traditional, and sometimes have been called "noble" for god-knows-what reason.

So, polling: what's yours?

Mine is in Pisces. I tend to always give my services away. It can get pretty annoying, I do favors for people all the time and they don't necessarily give back. I usually do it free of charge too if it's a big job. I just tend to not pay attention to my own needs in that department. My values are that people should be who they want to be. I am kind of traditional minded, though in the same sense (I have Aquarius Rising) I have values that can certainly be outside of the box. I am a spiritual person and I have spiritual values. I want a spiritual connection with people, and everything I do has to be connected to be. I'm very concerned with other people.

However, Aries is also in my 2nd house and it's intercepted. Mars is also in Aries. It probably means I need to take initiative in getting my own resources instead of giving my services away. I also need to make money on my own instead of relying on others.

My second house is ruled by Scorpio, and I have Venus in the second house.

My values....well, I'm not actually sure if I really have defined values at all. I think the most important thing in life is to learn. I don't believe that there is a right or wrong answer, or a proper way of handling things. I think life is just a big experience that can take its toll on you sometimes for the better and the worst, but you just have to keep fighting for what you believe in....if you actually know what that is in the first place...I guess I'd say that I am pretty much the center of my world, and I move on from there. I follow my heart, and I go with my instincts.

Hi Peas:

My second house is Sag, ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter is in my 7th house.

Basically, I value individuality probably more than anything. I like it in people, in clothing, home decor, etc. I am not a traditional type of person at all. And even though laziness irks me something terrible as well, if the lazy person is unique or zany, I will find some worth in them.

Personally, I am definetly on the odd side. I've been called Alice (in Wonderland), Fogger, Wierd Little Oddity, Enigma..... thats all I can think of now, but you get the idea.

Although married, it took me a while. Marriage was not something on my list of things to accomplish. I truly did not see the point. And no desire for children, either. I don't dislike children; however, and I've often thought if I did have kids, I would be unable to give them rules, because I wouldn't want them to have any. Crazy, huh!

Edit: Also, and I can't believe I forgot this, Sag is my South Node. Although on my ascension to North Node (Gemini, as you know), I don't ever want to leave the Sag behind!

Good question! And interesting answers!

hey Aya,

My second house is very busy! lol

it's in Sag and I have a stelium with Neptune, Mercury, Uranus and Venus (in Cap). I don't really know what my values are anymore because they change on every day basis lately. But I do feel that having a family is the most important thing in the world for me. Most of all I just want to have a reliable partner, but besides that I value people that respect me as a person. I don't feel like I will be the one cooking and leaning, I feel like it should be a mutual thing because my career is more important to me then a well kept house. My room has always been a creative mess and when I start organizing things I can never find them anymore. I value stability in finances and always try to fight my urges to spend. But I would say my two primary values are to be in a stable relationship and to be financially secure.

Hello Peas

I have 2nd House in Scorpio, Saturn in the 2nd, Venus square Saturn sextile Jupiter

but my im not really into traditional values(aqua venus), I believe that the world is changing and we should make the most of what we can. my values and self worth strengthen through philosophy, by having a better understanding of things,

but i still do feel some of that saturn tradition, and i still feel empty sometimes when i dont feel succesful, when im not making money or contributing to the world in some way, though scorpio taught me that theres more important things than material possessions, but that doesnt mean i should ignore it.

good question by the way

Mine is in Capricorn as well. I do have Uranus there too, though.

I don't think I'm as traditional as you are, honestly. I do think it's okay if a woman wants to stay home and work, but getting a job is just as good. I believe that hard work and determination are the only surefire ways to achieve your goals.

My Uranus makes me value out-of-the-ordinary things, as well as out-of-the-ordinary people. I value change, and things it's very necessary in general. I'd rather have a "different" lifestyle or job when I grow up. Paperwork and things to that nature don't grab my attention.

Hi Aya,

My second house is ruled by Scorpio and good old ( or bad) saturn resides in it.

So far, saturn has not given me any really hard challenge in what the 2nd house represents ( possession of all kinds , also the physical body). I find myself restricted by saturn in a way, for example, I never over-indulge in food , I find it very hard to do so , as whenever I eat a little too much , i would feel very guilty afterwards. And I am very picky with food . Pickiness here means that I would choose healthy food ( even though they are not the best dishes in any worldly sense ) over sugar-latened, carbonhydrate-filled, oily ones. ( so maybe thats the reason why I only have ice cream on an average of 3 times a year - sucks , doesnt it ?)

But since saturn is not a harsh planet in my chart , meaning it doesnt make any bad aspect , instead, it trines my sun and mars , loosely trine my moon , saturn has been good to me. I like enjoying shopping for clothes and all and find myself quite indulgent on it ( probably due to my libra rising trine venus ). Or maybe saturn in 2nd house reminds me to always treat myself properly. So maybe thats why I punish myself by exercising daily ( well not really daily, 5-6 days a week)

My 2nd house is in scorpio, so it means I will share my possessions, or inherit from someone close to me. And so far, that has been proven true. I inherited the will from my deceased mother. And I also value traditions quite a bit , especially when it is concerned with relationships. I believe in proper dates , waiting, getting to know each other and all the hurdles before getting to know each other sexually and on a deeper level , understanding the very soul of each other. And I believe in marriage as well. Though it does not need to be big-*** wedding. I believe in family and its power , though family here doesnt mean it has to be a female mother and a male father and their biological kids. It could be an international family house , as long as it is nurturing and sharing and understanding.

Hi Peas,

My second house is Leo with Pluto in Leo and Jupiter in Virgo residing there. So, I guess what I value is courage, nobility, leadership, and intense persistence to get to the point of precise truth. I admire people who will turn their lives upside down for a noble cause and not be hindered by minor setbacks. However, I don't necessarily conduct my own life in that fashion.

That is an interesting interpretaion of Capricorn. I also agree with SOME of your values - I guess maybe my Venus in Capricorn has some influence in this area.

in the II house i have Mars.

haha i read about it and it is true about me! whenever i decide i want something, i want it really bad and if i dont have the money for it. i work very hard to make it. But sometimes i spend ALL my money i just made and don't think about saving it. I always have a postitive veiw about money, i have i feel like i earned money, i can't just have someone give money to me without me working for it.

my values are ALMOST the same....but others would say mine are a bit more 'harsh'....i believe women should stay at home all day wether or not they have kids and never work..the men should work all day and night and come home to a hot supper and spectacular sex....
